Safety Considerations When Selecting Railing
- Guardrails are made to minimum height of 42 inches
- Guardrails withstand 200 lbs. deflection
- Baluster spacing must be equal to or less than 4 inches
- Space between floor and bottom rail should be 2–4 inches
